Distractions

Distraction: a thing that prevents someone from giving full attention to something else; extreme agitation of the mind or emotions.

What God is saying: "Don't allow distractions to hinder your growth, blessings or calling/assignment." The enemy will use the smallest situation imaginable in order to distract you on your walk with Christ. It's almost like taking a trip to an unfamiliar place. While traveling to this destination, you see many things that claim your attention. It may be a restaurant, shopping mall, or just beauty of God's nature. Soon you find yourself in that store searching for the right pair of shoes to go with your outfit. You're sipping an ice cold glass of sweet tea having a meal at that restaurant you just had to try. Before you know it time has passed and it's much later in the day than you expected. In a nutshell this is how the enemy works. God wants you to keep your eyes on your destination. Ladies I know it's hard to pass a shopping trip up - but if you only knew what God had waiting for you, you wouldn't want to stop and be distracted by anything! What is your distraction today? What is keeping you from moving forward in Christ, in your ministry or your calling? What thoughts are you harboring that's causing extreme agitation of the mind or emotions. Is it unforgiveness?, a man/woman?, an idol?, people?, money?, sinful thoughts or lust?, your reputation?, your mistakes?, your failures, your past? God is able to deliver you from ANYTHING! No matter how long it's been, no matter how serious it is, now matter how deep you're in - God is able. Right now I rebuke every hindering spirit and distraction that's interfering in your walk with God. I pray that God will give you the wisdom to know when the enemy is at work in your life. I pray that you will take control over your flesh and not allow yourself to make decisions or do things that will place you in a position where you are questioning your walk with God. I pray that if you have not made Jesus Christ your Savior today, you will give Him a place in your life as Head of your life. May Christ be with you always and don't let nothing distract you on your walk with Him! ~Sharonda Jones~
