5 Ways to Get UNSTUCK

If you are experiencing a stall, frustration, and obstruction in your walk with God, here a few ways that help you get unstuck:

Many people tend to forget about this part of heart puzzle. Anytime you are trying to heal and experience deliverance, you always want to address your heart issues. Believe it or not, heart issues in the natural are often due to heart issues in the spirit. Dig deep in your soul, in your mind, and in your heart and ask God to reveal any unforgiveness you may have hidden in the cavities of these places. Unforgiveness blocks so many things in our lives, including blessings!

Have you ever been in the presence of someone that you knew was hurting, or seen someone do something to a person in front of you that crushed them but their response was "I'm okay, it's okay," while fighting back tears? It's the same scenario when we are in a place that we refuse to accept the reality of being in. We don't want others to know we're stuck. We don't want ourselves or others to think that we are a failure. We don't want to feel trapped or appear as if we have no clue what we are doing.

Could it be that we've set our standards so high that it's embarrassing if we fall or come to a place of uncertainty? Could it be that we feel as though we have to prove something to someone? To prove someone wrong? Or maybe because we have a certain image to hold?

Truth is, I've never met one person who has it all together. Learn to give yourself permission to feel vulnerable. It's OKAY!

For some, we have it together so much that our mentality is that we don't really need God. In these cases, God has to bring us to rock bottom to remind us not only that He is God, but that you NEED Him to survive. Imagine living a prominent lifestyle, never lacking, never left needing something, to having EVERYTHING taken away. Houses, cars, bank account, investments, land, etc.. I'm sure you've seen it happen.

The point I'm trying to make is that it's okay to admit that you've found yourself stuck in an unfamiliar place. Talk to God, build a relationship with God. Ask Him to give you directions on what to do and how to do it. Let Him know that you can't do it alone and you need His help.

It's okay to BE there, but it's not okay to STAY there!

You've seen all the updates in technology throughout the years. How we've gone from flip phones to touch screen. On laptops, desktops, cellphones, printers, and other devices there are always updates that have to be done. System updates, program updates, driver updates, application updates, etc.

Imagine taking an old flip phone trying to access apps and features we now have today on our smartphones. It will not work. Those flip phones weren't setup to access those things.

As God is shifting us, we must shift with Him. We have to stay up-to-date. We have to consistantly update and upgrade our spiritual walk so that we can function properly and operate smoothly.

We have to find a way to fix the "error messages" and stop ignoring the system update notifications.

God is trying to shift us to "Winter," but we're still stuck in "Fall." We're still walking around in tanks in flip flops when God is saying prepare for the winter months.

Are we still offering God that same dry praise we've been giving Him the last twenty years?

Are we glued to our seats with our arms folded during praise and worship?

When we're asked to pray, do we look around for somebody else to do it?

We've been in church our whole lives and still don't know how to pray or still battle with fear when it's time to step up and serve?

Has our prayer language and level of intimacy with God been the same for the last ten years?

You may not realize this, but toxic connections could be one of the reasons you are stuck. You've heard the saying before that one bad apple spoils the bunch and that is so true. You may not be toxic, but because you are surrounded with and connected to people who are, it's a gateway for toxicity. If you're not careful, you'll find yourself fighting someone else's demons because you allowed that door to opened through a connection or relationship.

They'll try hard to pull you where they are. They will constantly stir up confusion. When you should be spending time on your ministry, business, career, family, etc., you are wasting time trying to defend your name in conversation you had absolutely nothing to do with.

Toxic people are miserable. They are ungrateful - they complain about everything. They find a problem with everything. They don't like change. They want you to feel how they feel. They don't want to see you doing good or better than them. I could say so much more......

You learn to love toxic people without allowing them in your personal space. Don't give them the opportunity to contaminate your life. Pray for them and don't let them make you feel guilty for moving on.

This one is hard for a lot of people to do. Some are afraid to ask for help because they struggle with a spirit of pride. They have a certain image to uphold and they don't want to people to know they have a need.

Others have a spirit of humility and would rather not ask for help because they don't want to be a burden on people, they don't want people to misjudge them or their situation, and they'd rather trust God to send the help so they won't have to ask.

In either case, it is never wrong to let someone know you need help in a situation. There's nothing wrong with someone knowing that you need prayer to overcome a struggle or obstacle.

Pray and ask God to lead you to the right person you can talk to. Although I'm all for self-deliverance, there are some things we need the help of others with. Don't remain stuck trying to do it alone!
